Russell and Dave live in Devon. They packed a lease van full of furniture and set off last Tuesday from Plymouth to Saintander, driving on to Madrid and then making the final haul down to the Costa del Sol arriving late Wednesday night. They found a bar open at 2 am, so were able to wash the road dust from their throats before hitting the sack in one of the two apts that Russell and Marilyn own in Duquesa.
Before they bought the 2 apts off-plan they looked at other off-plan projects in Estepona, San Pedro, Puerto Banus and Marbella in fact they combed the Costa del Sol . They choose Vistanar in Duquesa because it’s next to a golf course and they got three beds, three baths for the price of a two bed two bath where we live in Estepona. Both their apts have wonderful terraces, facing south and they have an up market urbanization, with both restaurant ,and bar, as well as numerous pools. They are really happy there, whenever they come out.
they have very generously given him 600 euros to pay for a course of kitboarding lessons in Tarifa. Despite all the work that Russell had on his plate at the apt, he drove down to the Diana Centre to present Vincent with the cheque. We were all tired, so we had lunch in our bar restaurant (Graham’s Pizzeria) which I opened especially for the occasion. A great time was had by all. I) kept the catering simple as I had no staff in and the fare was limited to fresh burgers or kebabs in home made pita bread served with loads of salad in French dressing with Dijon mustard. Dave and Russell were tickled pink that we had our own restaurant bar and could do just as we pleased. We all drank too much Cava (Spanish Champagne) and when we went home I fell asleep and missed the England Rugby match.
